# Sarah Bostwick

![Artist Photo](https://www.sarahbostwickfineart.com/hubfs/Artist%20Photo.jpg)

Sarah Bostwick is a Northern Michigan artist whose acrylic and oil paintings celebrate landscapes, wildlife, beloved pets, and stories woven throughout the natural world. With a background in fine art and painting, she combines strong composition and thoughtful color to create pieces that feel both familiar and full of discovery.

Her paintings begin with loose brushwork, toned underpaintings, and simple shapes that gradually evolve through layers of color and texture. As each piece develops, unexpected hues and subtle details emerge, inviting viewers to pause, explore, and experience the scene through the artist’s eyes.

Inspired by the unique bond between people and animals, Sarah especially enjoys creating custom pet portraits that capture the personality and spirit of each cherished companion. She is currently accepting commissions for pet portraits.

Sarah lives in beautiful Northern Michigan with her husband, John, and their rescue dog, Carson, where the surrounding landscapes and wildlife continue to inspire her work.

## Art That Invites You to Look Closer

Art has a way of turning ordinary moments into something worth remembering. A familiar landscape, the quiet expression of a beloved animal, or a fleeting glimpse of light can hold a story waiting to be discovered. Through each brushstroke, Sarah seeks to capture not only what she sees, but the feeling behind it—the warmth of a place, the character of an animal, or the small details that make a moment unforgettable. Her paintings invite you to slow down, look a little closer, and perhaps see something familiar in a new way.
